About the BTLIA
Agencies, organisations and individuals are all entitled to expect very high standards of work and service from the turf and landscape irrigation industry. This expectation is considerably re-inforced when they deal with a Member of the British Turf and Landscape Irrigation Association (BTLIA). They also enjoy additional peace of mind through the fact that Members of the Association must adhere to a strict code of ethics. Set up in 1978, the BTLIA is a voluntary, non-profit making organisation formed to promote the development, proper use and acceptance of turf and landscape irrigation equipment.
The BTLIA aims to...
Code of EthicsThe BTLIA operates a Code of Ethics to ensure that standards are maintained.
Every Member has to subscribe to this Code as a condition of membership.
A copy of the Code of Ethics is available on request.
Should a customer be dissatisifed, the BTLIA also has a formal complaints
procedure. The Association's Minimum StandardsAll Members agree to comply to a set of Minimum Standards covering areas such as system design and submission of essential technical details with quotations. These have been adopted as the benchmark for amenity irrigation provision in the UK and provide an important insight into the technical aspects of design. Copies of The Minimum Standards are available from the Secretary at a cost of £15.00 plus postage and packing.
Our MembersAs well as subscribing to the Code of Ethics, our Members must employ a minimum number of BTLIA Certificate and Diploma holders. This helps to maintain our high standards of practice and service. Our Members operate world-wide so that, wherever you are, you can enjoy the peace of mind that is part of the package when you contract a BTLIA Member for your irrigation project.
